About shukatsu
「shukatsu（シュウカツ/周活）」は、札幌近郊で、美術・演劇・デザイン・イベントなど、幅広い分野で文化活動をする個人・団体・施設のための、資材循環プロジェクトです。制作や発表の途中で生まれる余った資材や使わない資材を、廃棄ではなく、回収・保管することで、他の制作や発表で安く再利用できるようにします。
環境的にも経済的にも持続可能で、新しい実験や遊びに開かれた文化活動を可能にする、モノを介したゆるやかなネットワークとなることを目指しています。
shukatsu is a materials cycling project for individuals, groups and institutions in/around Sapporo that are involved in a wide range of cultural activities in the fields of art, theatre, design, events and so on. The project collects and stores surplus or unused materials produced during production and presentation, rather than discarding them, so that they can be reused cheaply in other activities.
We aim to become a network of cultural activities through materials that are environmentally and economically sustainable and open to new experimentation and play.

How to use / get involved

倉庫は苗穂基地と天神山アートスタジオにあります。

回収した資材は「資材」のページに写真をアップロードしていきます。

活動を持続可能なものにするために、資材引き取りの際には「重さ」に応じて寄付をお願いしています。

基本的には毎週土曜日（11時ー16時）を倉庫の開放日としており、予約等なしで資材の持ち込み・引き取りにお越しいただけます。（*変更となっている場合もあるため、カレンダーをご確認ください。）

The warehouse locates at Naebo base and Tenjinyama Art Studio.

The collected materials will be uploaded to the 'Materials' page with photos.

In order to make our activities socially/economically sustainable, we will ask for a donation according to weight.

Every Saturday (11:00-16:00) the warehouse is open for visitors to bring in and pick up materials without an appointment. (*Please check the calendar, as the schedule may have changed.)
shukatu（シュウカツ）は、人生の終わり方を計画する「終活（シュウカツ）」から名付けました。
世界で最も早く高齢化が進む日本で、人がモノをどう残し使っていくか、あるいは捨てていくかを、実際に活動することによって考えていく場になることを願っています。
shukatu (周活) is named after the Japanese term 終活 (shukatsu), which means planning the end of one's life.
Japan has the fastest ageing population in the world. We hope that this initiative will provide a space to think about how to keep / use / discard objects through real actions.
